About this Organization:
Counselors, social workers and legal advocates provide counseling, support groups, case management, legal assistance, play therapy and education to victims of domestic violence. The outreach component is extensive in its efforts to serve specialized and underserved populations of the community. Programs focus attention on the needs of victims in health care settings, the particular needs of minority and immigrant women and provide counseling to low income and indigent women at no cost. Specialized curriculum has been established for anger management and understanding the source of emotional stress, particularly depression. Counseling services are provided to men through our state approved batterer’s intervention and prevention programs. Legal services include assistance with Protective Orders, child support, child custody and visitation, divorce and Crime Victims Compensation.
