Safe Haven of Tarrant County

About Safe Haven of Tarrant County

SafeHaven's mission is to end domestic violence through safety, support, prevention and social change.

SafeHaven is the largest and most comprehensive agency in Tarrant County providing services at no cost to domestic violence victims. SafeHaven provides 24-hour care at two emergency shelters in Arlington and Fort Worth to families fleeing violent situations. The holistic shelters provide a comprehensive continuum of care for the women and children who would otherwise be forced to remain in dangerous situations. Trained bilingual advocates respond 24 hours a day to victims who call SafeHavenâ??s toll-free crisis hotline. There is free access to counseling in both English and Spanish for those who are currently experiencing domestic violence.

When leaving a shelter, SafeHaven provides survivors with a safety net of services and support to establish and sustain self-sufficiency. Through housing programs, families can move to a secure environment while simultaneously obtaining life skills, education, and improved employment opportunities.

SafeHavenâ??s prevention team also provides domestic violence prevention programs to students throughout Tarrant County. Through our crisis and support services we are making progress to reduce and end domestic violence.

None of this is possible without our friends and supporters. Your generosity, time and talents continue to help us meet the urgent needs of Tarrant Countyâ??s domestic violence victims, young and old. Please consider how you can help SafeHaven and the victims we protect.
