Biography

I’m Stewart A. Sutton and I have been practicing law in Maryland, the District of Columbia, and California for over 30 years. I am a general practitioner, who helps individuals, families, employees, entrepreneurs, and small businesses solve their ordinary and sometimes extraordinary legal problems.

My areas of practice include: family law; business law; personal injury; civil rights; wills and trusts; legal malpractice, real estate litigation, and appeals. I limit my practice to representing no more than a dozen litigation clients at a time.

My philosophy is to provide the highest quality legal representation to a small number of clients, instead of providing average quality legal representation to a large number of clients. The quality of my representation is further enhanced by the fact that my clients have direct access to me, because I personally handle all communications. By working closely with my clients, I can expedite the resolution of their cases.

Stewart A. Sutton is one of the few attorneys in Maryland that represents clients in legal malpractice actions against their former attorneys. Mr. Sutton has a 100% success rate in legal malpractice cases. He has helped his clients recover millions of dollars in judgments and settlements against incompetent and dishonest attorneys in Maryland. (Disclaimer: Each case is different and that the lawyer's past record in achieving favorable results for clients does not guarantee that he will be successful in reaching a successful outcome in any future case).
