Biography

Graduated from the Faculty of Law, Charles University in Prague (1997–2002) where he also defended his rigorous thesis on the subject of Community Trade Mark and was awarded the title JUDr (2006). He further continued in postgraduate studies at the Faculty of International Relations, University of Economics in Prague (2005–2012) in the field of Business and International Economic Law, where he defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic of Unregistered Marks of Goods and Services Used in the Course of Trade and was awarded the title PhD (2012). He worked for the Law firm Nipl, Žák, Slaví?ek, Jaroš & Co. as a trainee attorney (2002–2005) and subsequently as an attorney at law (2005–2011). Since August 2011 he carries out the responsibilities of the Managing Partner in Vozáb & Co. Jakub provides legal services in Czech and English and a focuses primarily on commercial law, intellectual property, medical law, real estate issues and enforcement of connected claims and litigation. Ranked in Chambers Global 2015 and Chambers Europe 2015 as one of the leaders in the area of corporate law and M&A.
