Q. My grandpa bought his house and is in his name only, before he married his wife of 25+ years.
A: He can have a Will or Trust drafted in his name detailing his wishes. Whatever interest he owns in the home after the outcome of the divorce can transfer to you upon his death. If his wife retains or it is determined she owns an interest in the home, she may be able to live in the home until her death, but I would need to learn more about this case to form a more accurate opinion regarding this matter. If this were the case, you would not receive your interest until after her death.
Q. My ex came over to get his mail and took off with our dog that I’ve kept since the breakup without my permission. HELP
A: I have worked on cases like this in the past. I recommend you work with an attorney to generate a legal plan.
A: I had a case that I recently worked on that involved a similar situation. I think you should hire an attorney to represent you. Work with the attorney you choose to develop a legal strategy and execute the strategy effectively.
