Christopher Brough

Attorney Christopher D. Brough founded The Brough Law Firm in 2005. Prior to founding The Brough Law Firm, he had spent two years working for the Spartanburg County Public Defender's Office. Mr. Brough was admitted to practice in the State of South Carolina in 2003 and is also admitted to practice in the United States District Court of South Carolina and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
Mr. Brough graduated from Syracuse University College of Law in 2003. During his time at Syracuse, Mr. Brough served as the managing editor for the Syracuse Journal of International Law & Commerce, served as an intercollegiate competitions director for Moot Court, and was chosen to be a member of the 2002 Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Team that competed in Vienna, Austria. Upon graduation, Mr. Brough was inducted into the National Order of Barristers.
Mr. Brough earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame, majoring in Finance and Computer Applications. While at the University of Notre Dame, Mr. Brough was a member of the University's Fencing Team, where he earned Monogram honors and he maintains an active membership in the University of Notre Dame Monogram Club.
As an attorney, Christopher D. Brough is an AV rated attorney by Martindale-Hubbell and is member of the Spartanburg County Bar Association, the National Trial Lawyers Association Top 100 Lawyers for the State of South Carolina, the National Association of Distinguished Counsel for the Nation's top 1% of lawyers, the National College for DUI Defense, and the American Bar Association. Mr. Brough has received a Lifetime Achievement award from America's Top 100 Attorneys for South Carolina. Mr. Brough has also been recognized by America's Most Honored Professionals as being in the top 1% and has been inducted as a Lifetime V.I.P. member of Strathmore's Who's Who Registry & Global Network for Outstanding Professionals.
