David grew up in Georgia, where he excelled in academics and football. He received a full athletic scholarship to play football at the prestigious Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina where he became an ESPN Academic All-American. In 2008, he graduated with Cum Laude honors and received a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and Political Science with a concentration in Latin American Studies.
