A native of Midland, Texas, Brandon Benson is deeply familiar with the oil and gas industry. His entire career has been focused on serving clients in oil and gas and he focuses his practice on oil and gas transactions, including the counseling of clients in acquisitions and dispositions of leasehold and mineral properties and the negotiation of leases, contracts and other agreements related to upstream oil and gas. Jim earned his J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law in 2004, where he was a Julius H. Miner Moot Court competitor. In 2000, he received an M.A. in Philosophy from the University of Pennsylvania. He graduated with a B.A. in Philosophy and English from Brooklyn College in 1997, where he was a Ford Foundation Fellow and Merit Scholar in Philosophy.
