Ms. McCann earned her B.A. degree in psychology from the University of Maryland Baltimore County in 1979. She graduated the University of Baltimore School of Law Magna Cum Laude in December of 1996 and was admitted to the Maryland Bar in June of 1997. She was a member of the University of Baltimore Law Review and the Heuisler Honor Society. Kelly McCann's practice is focused primarily on real estate and construction matters. With experience as both a construction project manager (superintendent) and as an analyst at a boutique real estate investment firm, Kelly brings a practical and resourceful mindset to his legal practice. ? Kelly regularly represents homeowners, contractors, subcontractors, commercial real estate investors, and property management companies in connection with both transactional and litigated real estate and construction matters. ? While not working, Kelly enjoys skiing, mountain biking, and spending time with family and friends.

I have extensive civil litigation experience including, but not limited to, breach of contracts involving real estate transactions and services, automobile accidents, complex civil litigation, insurance bad faith, §1983 cases, slip and fall injuries and workers’ compensation cases. I have a wide variety of Traffic, Misdemeanor and Felony experience with cases involving arson, assault, domestic violence, possession and distribution of drugs, vehicular assault, sexual assault, child abuse, kidnapping and attempted murder. My extensive family law litigation experience includes large and small estates, restraining orders, child support, and custody disputes involving allegations of physical, emotional and/or sexual abuse.

As an attorney, I provide legal counsel that prevents litigation and take steps to minimize the costs of legal action once litigation has begun. I have litigated many cases over the course of my career and while aggressive litigation is often necessary, other methods like mediation, arbitration or negotiation may sometimes be more appropriate.
