I was born in Lafayette, Louisiana and moved to San Antonio, Texas in the Summer of 1987 with my mom and younger brother. That was the year that Mom, the late Jo Ann Dauphin Moore, was recruited by former Mayor Henry Cisneros as the first Executive Director of Neighborhood Housing Services (NHS) of San Antonio. She was born and raised in Miami, Florida, where she attended Perrine Baptist Academy which molded her deeply rooted Christian morals.
