Chad's practice focuses on intellectual property licensing, technology transactions, copyright counseling, cyber law, open-source licensing, and new media. Chad spent six years as a software engineer for IBM and several startups developing chip testing software, advanced Linux firewalls and internet traffic routing technologies prior to attending law school. Chad has both in-house and law firm experience having served as an associate for four years in the IP Licensing/Technology Transaction Group of Fenwick & West LLP in San Francisco and more recently as Senior Licensing Counsel for Dolby Laboratories in San Francisco.
