What are your attorney's fees for Personal Injury?
Attorney fees are fixed by statute. Every attorney in New York for personal injury cases specifically charges a contingency fee of one-third.
How long does a business litigation case take?
Civil litigation can take anywhere from... we've had cases resolved within a one year period and some cases go two years or more. Some heavy, heavy personal injury cases, which are a subdivision of civil litigation in general, have gone, in rare cases, more than three years. We know we're coming up on a trial, multi-million dollar’s worth of injuries, and the sides just can't agree. There is extensive discovery that goes on. By the time we certify it for trial and everything else we've hit about two and a half years.
