Biography

Growing up in Jamaica, Queens I knew I wanted to be an attorney from a young age. I pursued other interests and earned a Master's degree in psychology from Columbia University prior to attending law school in Miami. Throughout my 13 year professional career I have fought for those whose voice was not heard. I am skilled at navigating complex systems and negotiating matters large and small. I live close to my office with my wife and young daughter.

John, PLLC; 2014 - Current; I started my own practice to best deliver my services to clients helping them to save money while simultaneously earning more for myself. A win win situation is hard to achieve in negotiating any agreement. It is good to have one from the start.

Attorney: The Law Office of Thomas M. John; 2009 - 2014; I started working on cases as soon as I returned to the NYC area after living outside LA for over a year.

Program Director of Queens TASC: Education and Assistance Corporation, Inc.; 2012 - 2013; Managed a social services alternative to incarceration agency in my home borough of Queens, NY. Mentally ill and/or chemically dependent defendants. Defendants were assessed, referred to treatment providers, and monitored for the Queens County Supreme and Criminal Courts. Also served as legal counsel to parent company's nascent Court Appointed Guardianship program in Suffolk County.
