- Q. I wasn't told about side effects of being on methadone before I got on it or what would happen after I came off of it
- A: Let me see if I understand the situation. You were addicted to some drug or drugs and the medical doctors prescribed methadone to assist with withdrawal. Do I have that right?
Let's assume I do.
So, you're addicted to some drug and in treatment. How am I going to prove the case using you as a witness? You were an addict. Addiction clouds the mind, addiction alters the memory and basically makes the addict an unreliable witness. - Q. My home town tried to force me to pay additional fees for having a working service dog and retaliated when I denied.

Have there been any instances involving the dog? Has the City been out to look at the dog? Do you live within the city limits? Address? Which county do you live in?
You say the dog is a service dog? How do you define “service”? Did any governmental agency certify this as a service dog?
It’s complicated. Not as easy as a lawyer having a ... Read More
- Q. I was hit by a car when walking into liquor store almost 3 years ago in Iowa can I still pursue with filing a claim?
- A: The statute of limitations in Iowa is ordinarily 2-years. If you were a minor at the time of the accident, then you might still have a viable claim. If disabled you may as well. There are too many questions needing to be answered for this Q&A box. If you want to speak with me, call my office.
