Attorney Richard Walters is a native of Pittsburgh and graduated from Shaler Area High School in the North Hills. He went to West Virginia University in Morgantown on a football scholarship, lettering for two years and starting his senior year for the Mountaineers. At West Virginia University, Rich received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Marketing. After working in business in Charleston, West Virginia, he returned to Pittsburgh, attending Duquesne University School of Law.

Rich enrolled in law school because he wanted to solve problems for the greater good. He believes that the most important aspect of practicing law is the effort to conduct litigation in an expeditious manner that fulfills both the goals and needs of the client without needless delay. His experience has taught him to determine the client’s goals and needs after a full and forthright discussion, and to develop a legal plan and timeline to attain those goals and needs. As he is fond of saying, “Justice delayed is justice denied!” His journey through law school and beyond has only refined and deepened this basic conviction, and he seeks daily to realize it for his clients.

Since 1994, Rich has independently practiced law across western Pennsylvania. He has advocated for clients in cases ranging from personal injury, disability, family, immigration, small business, and real estate, to wills and estate matters. He has argued before appellate judges and conducted numerous interviews with clients at the county, state, and federal penitentiaries in the Western Pennsylvania region.
