Michelle L. Eisenmenger
Focus on family law. Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.
Michelle L. Eisenmenger opened her own practice after 15 years of practicing solely in family law at a boutique law firm, following her 2003 graduation from the Louis D. Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville with a Juris Doctor degree. She is dually licensed in Kentucky and Indiana and has practiced family law in both jurisdictions for the entirety of her career.
The youngest of five children, she became interested in family law after watching her siblings experience the difficulties of divorce.
“I witnessed the emotional and financial devastation that can result from divorce as well as disputes over child custody, visitation and support. In each case, I wished that my brother or sister could achieve a peaceful and speedy resolution and thought this would best be accomplished by attorneys who consider not only the financial, but also the emotional results for their clients and their children.” Having since experienced those difficulties personally, she is especially empathetic for her clients and has become an even more zealous advocate for her clients’ rights and for peace for families.
In 2017, she became a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, a prestigious nationwide organization of only the best family law attorneys, in which applicants must pass rigorous testing and receive the approval of existing Fellows of the Academy in order to receive fellowship.
She has lectured around the Commonwealth of Kentucky to fellow attorneys since 2006 and is the author of several articles and treatise chapters on family law issues.
She is the mother of the two coolest kids in the world (in her opinion) and is active with the Brandeis Elementary PTA.
