Matthew Evers Willis
Kahan Kerensky Caposssela, LLP
Matthew E. Willis is a partner in the firm’s litigation department and focuses his practice on personal injury, criminal law (including DUIs) and motor vehicle law. Attorney Willis is a graduate of Roger Williams University and Roger Williams University School of Law. He is admitted to practice before the State and Federal Bars of Connecticut and is a member of the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association, the American Association for Justice, the Connecticut Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the Tolland County Bar Association. Attorney Willis has been peer reviewed and has achieved an "AV Preeminent" rating from Martindale- Hubbell.
Matt’s desire to become a lawyer was cemented at age 13 during his first job: raking leaves and doing other chores for an attorney and probate court judge on Candlewood Lake, who challenged him to decide hypothetical cases. Matt’s passion for fairness and constitutional rights led him to focus on litigation. In reviews, clients most appreciate his listening skills, honesty, and clear communication. He balances out the intensity of litigation with fishing, motorcycling, and spending time outdoors.
