Mark K Thompson
Litigation is our Business
Mark K. Thompson has been practicing business law and litigation since 1999. His business litigation experience is broad and in addition he has extensive experience in closely held businesses with ownership disputes. Mark founded his law firm, MKT Law, PLC, in 2012 after over a decade with a larger downtown law firm.
MKT Law’s clients include businesses and individuals in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro, throughout greater Minnesota, across the nation and even around the globe. MKT Law is focused on representing small and mid-sized businesses in litigation. MKT Law represents a broad array of professionals, contractors, oil and biofuel companies, real estate brokers and developers, financial service companies, health care providers, wholesalers, manufacturers, restaurants, bars the list goes on. If the case is in litigation, or needs to be, MKT Law can help.
MKT Law provides personalized representation with an understanding for business that only comes from those who have owned their own. Because litigation is always fluid and constantly evolving, you need a lawyer who can see the changes coming and a law firm that is agile enough to alter course and meet the next challenge rapidly. As a smaller firm that only litigates, MKT Law does all that and more.
MKT Law leverages new technologies to assist in handling cases efficiently, economically and effectively. The firm is continuously analyzing emerging technological tools to determine if they can be a benefit in practice.
Mark is a proactive, creative and strategic litigator. In 2005, 2006, 2007 & 2008, he was named a "Rising Star" by Minnesota Law & Politics, Twin Cities Business Monthly and Mpls. St. Paul Magazine and in 2020 named a Super Lawyer by the same publications. Mark has extensive experience in complex commercial cases before state and federal courts and in arbitrations. He is adept in handling cases from the trial court level and up on appeal.
