Marcus Anthony Roland

He received his B.A. from Union College, his M.A. from the University of Cincinnati, and his J.D. from the University of Kentucky College of Law. Marc has practice experience in multiple areas of the law but has spent the largest part of his career handling workers' compensation claims. Roland has represented workers' compensation clients, appeared before workers' compensation Administrative Law Judges and presented arguments to the Kentucky Workers' Compensation Board, the Kentucky Court of Appeals and the Kentucky Supreme Court in over 1,000 workers' compensation matters. Marc is also a trained mediator, a trained meeting facilitator, and is the editor of Roland Legal's workers' compensation blog, Ouch!, recognized by LexisNexis as a top workers' compensation blog three years in a row. Roland also serves as the only Kentucky attorney on LexisNexis' Workers' Compensation Advisory Board and exclusively manages LexisNexis' Kentucky workers' compensation law updates. He will also be a contributing writer to the latest edition of The Complete Guide to Medicare Secondary Payer Compliance, published by LexisNexis. He is a member of the Kentucky Bar Association, the KBA Workers' Compensation Section, the Fayette County Bar Association, American Bar Association and is admitted to practice before the Kentucky courts and the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Kentucky.
