Lauren Ferrise is a Trial attorney. She graduated from DePaul University College of Law after earning her Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Missouri. She is a member of the Chicago Bar Association, Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, Women’s Bar Association of Illinois, American Bar Association, and the Illinois State Bar Association.
Lauren concentrates her practice in the areas of personal injury, slip and falls, workers’ compensation, and medical negligence. Lauren is a strong advocate on behalf of people who have been injured due to the negligence of others. She is experienced in a wide variety of personal injury and wrongful death matters, including motor vehicle and bicycle accidents, slip and falls, premises liability, and work related injuries.
Prior to law school, Lauren, who was always a self-starter, worked for several start-up companies where she was able to develop an aptitude for active listening and thinking on her feet. Eventually, Lauren was drawn to the legal profession by a desire to help others persevere through difficult times and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in their lives. “As a plaintiff’s personal injury lawyer, I take great pride in standing up for individuals who have experienced a loss and making sure my clients always have someone on their side that is willing to fight for their rights.”
During law school, Lauren sharpened her legal skills by working as a law clerk on the plaintiff’s side for several Chicago area litigation law firms, as well as by representing clients in a variety of civil litigation matters through DePaul’s Civil Litigation Clinic. Lauren also served as a judicial externship for the Honorable John Robert Blakey in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, was named to the Dean’s list, and received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award® for the highest scoring grade in Legal Analysis, Research and Communication.
