Laura Tocheny
Laura Tocheny practiced multiple fields of law, but her primarily focus has always been family law. Understanding multiple fields of law provides her insight into the many unique situations that can arise in family law cases. Laura’s extensive real estate background also sets her apart and provides clients an advantage. Laura can navigate complex property and assets with ease.
Laura’s passion for family law comes from her desire to work closely with her clients. The problems that she gets to help solve are very real and impact people’s lives. Laura enjoys being able to help alleviate the fear, stress, and anxiety of legal matters by taking on the conflict on behalf of the client. She enjoys representing clients in court, in collaborative resolutions, and throughout the litigation process. In fact, Laura has proven very successful in trial. It is her undeniable public relations skills and attention to detail that makes her so effective at trial and in negotiations.
In and out of the courtroom Laura prides herself on professionalism. Laura has a knack for capturing her clients’ story in the best way possible by knowing how to focus on joint efforts toward an intended outcome. Laura represents her clients in a calm and focused demeanor.
Laura holds two bachelor's degrees in Global Studies and Culture, Literature, and Art from the University of Washington, a Master of Business degree, and a JD from Willamette University. Laura received an Honor Society award from Willamette University.
Laura was active with the Orca Network and is active in various other organizations that support sea life habitat and resource protection. She has a love for animals and owns a hobby farm with goats, pigs, ducks, and geese.
