- A: There is not enough details to answer your question but based on what you've written it sounds like you are at fault for not yielding to oncoming traffic. If a police report was written that may also have a determination of fault.

- Q. I rear ended someone at a light, they drove off and called in a hit and run. What happens now?
- A: How do you know they called in a hit and run? If you reported it to your insurance company, and the other party has your vehicle information they will likely eventually report it to your insurer, at which point your insurer will already have notice of the claim because you've set it up. If you also reported it to the proper police department and there is a report on file of what happened, there should be enough information for your insurance company to handle the claim w/o it being a hit and run.
