Summary

After graduating from UCONN, I moved to Dallas and began working in Personal Injury. I started out requesting and reviewing client medical records, then moved up to being a case manager and working directly with clients. Eventually I landed at one of the largest PI firms in Dallas where I was the litigation paralegal to the founding parter. I held this position all through law school and after graduation was promoted to Managing Attorney at that firm. I have firsthand knowledge of every aspect of a personal injury case, from property damage, insurance claims and settlement negotiations to litigation and trial preparation. Throughout all of this time I have always been a huge advocate of customer service - I believe going above & beyond should be the norm - that is one of the pillars on which I built my practice.

Q. I'm turning left on oncoming 2 lane traffic. As I make my left a oncoming Car driving on the shoulder and l hit each
A: There is not enough details to answer your question but based on what you've written it sounds like you are at fault for not yielding to oncoming traffic. If a police report was written that may also have a determination of fault. Please note: I am not your lawyer and there is no attorney/client relationship between us as a result of this question and answer.
Q. I had recently had new tires put on my truck. I just had the rear wheel of my truck come off on the interstate doing 75
A: There is not enough information to answer your question. Were you injured in this accident? You may want to contact a Products Liability Attorney or Personal Injury attorney depending on who put the tires on your truck and whether or not you were injured. Please note: I am not your attorney and there is no attorney/client relationship between us as a result of this question and answer.
Q. I rear ended someone at a light, they drove off and called in a hit and run. What happens now?
A: How do you know they called in a hit and run? If you reported it to your insurance company, and the other party has your vehicle information they will likely eventually report it to your insurer, at which point your insurer will already have notice of the claim because you've set it up. If you also reported it to the proper police department and there is a report on file of what happened, there should be enough information for your insurance company to handle the claim w/o it being a hit and run. Please note: I am not your lawyer and there is no attorney/client relationship as a result of this question and answer.
Q. Do I need a lawyer?
A: You should contact the person at the insurance company who sent you the Title Form. You should not sign and return the form before speaking with someone. They should be paying you for the value of your vehicle, and you can also discuss reimbursement for rental expenses. However, if the vehicle is totaled, they do not have to cover your rental expenses. Please note: I am not your lawyer and we do not have an attorney/client relationship as a result of this question and answer.
