Lawyer since 1991.
Phone: 630-472-9700
What am I good at?
* Explaining how the law works in plain English
* Analyzing your case & providing options
* Transparency in fees & expectations
Have I worked on a case like yours?
Possibly...given that I have been doing this for 30+ years. Call me to find out. (630) 472-9700
What do I charge?
Every case is different so I don’t have “standard rates” on a chart from which I quote. Many cases are charged on a flat fee basis, like criminal and traffic. I promise to provide you with a clear and transparent pricing structure at the time you hire me. Fees range from $350 to $7,500.
How will I communicate with you?
Email, telephone, video conferencing, and in person. I save texting for my friends and family because it is really hard to say what you mean in a few short sentences! I strive to return phone calls and emails within 24 business hours. I am not opposed to working on the weekends.
Am I a jerk like other lawyers?
No. In fact, you will be pleasantly surprised when I treat you and your legal matter as though they are the most important aspects of my life at the moment. My firm’s Google Reviews confirm this.

- Q. I am on H1 work permit and have recently been fined with Civil penalty (retail theft). shall I make payment or wait judg
- A: Retail Theft is a Class A misdemeanor, punishable by up to 1 year in jail and up to a $2,500 fine. It is considered a crime of moral turpitude. Therefore, a plea of guilty to this charge, regardless of the sentence you receive, will have a negative impact on your immigration status. Be wary of claims that you may plead guilty to the charge, receive court supervision and expunge the records later. Although it may be true, an expungement will NOT hide this from the immigration agency.
The civil demand for money is entirely different and does not impact your immigration status regardless of what you do with it. It is strongly recommended that you show the civil demand letter to your criminal ... Read More
