- Karen's graduate training concerned the regulation of c-myc expression in HL-60 cells by vitamin D.As a post-doctoral fellow, she characterized the transmembrane domains of FGFR-2 and FGFR-3. Karen has extensive experience in the preparation and prosecution of patent applications in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology areas.She has trained and supervised associates and patent agents in patent drafting, prosecution, and managing world-wide prosecution dockets. Karen also has experience in European patent practice and has participated in Opposition proceedings in the European Patent Office.Karen also has experience in conducting freedom to operate and patentability analyses for biotech/pharmaceutical clients.
