Jason Edward Havens
Partner at Holland & Knight LLPJason E. Havens is a Partner at Holland & Knight LLP, practicing in its Jacksonville (also serving Ponte Vedra Beach) and Tallahassee (also serving Destin, Santa Rosa Beach, and Rosemary Beach) locations. He specializes in complex estate and charitable gift planning (domestic and international), probate/trust administration, and probate/trust litigation for affluent individuals and families and on behalf of charitable organizations. He is admitted to practice law in Florida and Tennessee. Mr. Havens received his LL.M. in International Taxation from Regent University, his LL.M. in Estate Planning from the University of Miami, his J.D. from the University of Tennessee, and his B.A., magna cum laude, from Lipscomb University. He is an active member of The Florida Bar and other professional organizations. He regularly publishes articles and commentary on business, estate, and tax planning in national and local publications and has also lectured at various programs on business, estate, and tax planning, including the 37th annual Heckerling Institute on Estate Planning. Mr. Havens is a Board Certified Specialist (B.C.S.) in Wills, Trusts and Estates Law (The Florida Bar). He is also a board certified Estate Planning Law Specialist (EPLS) in Tennessee. He also is a Fellow of The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC). Based on his leadership in the legal profession, Mr. Havens was appointed as a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation. In 2012 he was appointed as a director of the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils' Estate Law Specialist Board, Inc.; he was elected president in 2014.
