I was admitted to practice law in the Courts of the State of New York in 1999. In 2000 I was admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. After working as an associate for local law firms, in 2005 I opened my own practice. The focus of my practice is matrimonial, family law, and mediation. Life is short, mediate your divorce, if you can. I work on mediations as a mediator, drafting attorney or review attorney.
I am keenly aware that sometimes we have no option but to litigate, and we do it. For those who cannot mediate, negotiate, or collaborate through their issues, I fight hard for my clients to protect their best interests. I have successfully handled many: divorce; child custody; child support; spousal support; family offense (order of protection); challenging cps/acs indicated matters; name changes, adoptions; pre-nuptial agreements; post-nuptial agreements; neglect; and related issues. I'm proud of my track record.
In addition to being a New York lawyer, I am a certified mediator and certified collaborative law attorney. Collaborative law is an option somewhere in between litigation and mediation. In collaborative cases we work through divorces with other professionals such as child specialists and financial neutral advisors.
Couples that are interested in mediation will need to have their free initial consultation (up to a half hour free) with me together. For those who wish to use me as their review attorney, negotiator, or litigator they can schedule a one on one consultation. The first half hour of the initial consultation is free.
Give us a call if you would like to discuss your situation. It would be our pleasure to schedule a time to speak with you about it.

- Q. Can a separated spouse refuse to let a father see his child during corona?
- A: Since I am a New York lawyer, and your question did not specify where you are located, this answer pertains only to child custody and parenting time (visitation) matters for which New York has jurisdiction. A child custody and parenting time order remains in effect unless and until it is modified. At the time I am writing this answer there is no shelter in place order in effect for New York. There is a 100% of the workforce must work from home except for "essential" businesses but that order should not effect parenting time schedules. Of course if the exercise of parenting time would put the child at imminent risk, such as the girlfriend has tested positive for the Coronavirus, ... Read More
