Cory A. Clements
Clements Law Firm, PLLC
Cory Clements was born and raised in Lubbock, Texas. He graduated from Lubbock Cooper High School before attending South Plains College for a year. After transferring to Texas Tech University, Cory graduated with a bachelor’s degree in International Business. Throughout his time in undergraduate school, Cory worked a full-time job with Wells Fargo Bank where he was committed to leadership and working with the public.
Cory then attended Texas Tech University School of Law from 2011 to 2014 graduating with both his Juris Doctorate and master’s in business administration. After taking the bar exam, Cory moved to Abilene where he began his legal career. After only one month from passing the bar, Cory and another local attorney started a partnership. He was 25 years old when he began that first law firm. By 2016, Cory was operating his own law firm that he has continued to grow each year. From more cases, to new employees, to more charitable donations.
Cory practices in the areas of family law and criminal defense and loves representing the people of Abilene. While most of the time his clients are experiencing a difficult time in their lives, he is happy to be by their side and strives to attain positive resolutions for all of his clients.
Cory also serves as the current President of the Abilene Young Lawyers Association. He was the Vice President and Treasurer of Abilene Young Lawyers Association for 2017. In addition to serving the local legal community, Cory sits on the Center for Contemporary Arts Board of Trustees and the Texas Tech Alumni Board of Directors for the Abilene Chapter.
Professionally, Cory was awarded the Bob Black Bar Leaders Award for 2018 from Texas Tech School of Law and has been rated by Texas Super Lawyers as a ‘Rising Star’ attorney 2018 and recently learned he was selected again for 2019.
