Proactive problem-solver who's exceptionally well-informed, reasonable, patient, & communicative. The issue my family found itself having to fight - a residential redevelopment project made more difficult than previously assumed possible through an unreasonably contentious neighbors' persistent utilization of inherent flaws in the Santa Barbara municipal approvals process) - and ultimately resolve, couldn't have been better handled than by Chris Guillen. Perhaps the results along the way best speak to his effectiveness: - Project design approval: Granted. - Opposition appeal of said approval: Denied. - Project consent approval: Granted. - Opposition appeal of said consent approval: Unequivocally slated for Denial, HOWEVER... ...it never had to be addressed, as Chris was able to - partially through the above "wins", but also because of his ability to negotiate with an unreceptive, illogical opponent - secure the leverage necessary to obtain a settlement that checked all the necessary boxes for us to move on. Moreover, he was able to graciously tolerate our occasionally illogical, emotional reactions throughout, which we're sure was at times no small feat. We were abundantly pleased with Chris, certainly to the extent that he'll be my first call for any future land use and approvals issues I'll need resolved, both commercially and residentially.
