While a prosecutor, he was in court nearly every day, and dealt with most every type of crime that exists under Tennessee law--everything from Felony Murder, Aggravated Robbery, all levels of felony Drug Offenses, Theft, DUI, Forgery, Burglary, Assault, Sexual Assault, down to Simple Possession of Drugs, Driving on a Suspended License, Public Intoxication, Disorderly Conduct, and many other types of cases. He was a supervisor for the Wiretap Room during investigations by the Drug Task Force. He worked in close connection with the United States Attorney's Office to transfer State gun and drug cases to the Federal government, and primarily handled high-felony level drug prosecutions.
