The voice -Attorney Brett D. Kaplan Look no further Brett Kaplan is not only a voice to be reckoned with but a person who has a huge heart. He is one of the most compassionate and empathetic individuals I ever met. He is the voice for the people. He will tell your story and fight for justice like no other. I remember when I first met Mr. Brett Kaplan, I was a mess physically, emotionally, and spiritually. I was working for a major corporation in which I was being abuse emotionally on a day-to-day basis. Furthermore, I was discriminated on and retaliated on as well. All my rights as a human being were being taken from me. It was not until I met Mr. Kaplan, I had a voice. I say voice because the bigger these corporations are you need a voice. You are sometimes look at as no longer a person but a number. I had a voice. I have a hero. I have someone now who will fight for my voice to be heard, attorney Brett Kaplan has helped me so much. I can sleep a lot better now because this is an attorney who actually cares. When I needed legal advice and representation for my workplace retaliation case, Brett Kaplan was always available to me. I could make numerous calls and he has always been available to answer all my questions and explained exactly how the legal system worked in regard to my discrimination case. There is so much to say. Q. My manager called me into her office and said "I am frustrated with you". Is this a good statement?: October 3, 2022; A: Hi: I'm sorry for your situation feeling uncomfortable by the HR manager at work -- I appreciate that frustration. If you feel uncomfortable, you can always voice that to a different individual within the HR department. Also, to be sure, the law would be triggered here if the HR manager said "I am frustrated with you," after you bring a complaint of discrimination or harassment you experienced or witnessed. If the HR manager said, "I am frustrated with you," after you made a mistake (correct, everyone has their share of mistakes), there would be nothing in violation of the law per se without anything more. Basically, its unfortunate but your employer can be a "jerk" to you without violating the law unless they discriminate against you because you filed discrimination or harassment complaint.

For you: I would suggest writing a concise email to someone else in HR explaining your thoughts of feeling uncomfortable.

Of course, you should always reach out to a lawyer whenever a situation arises at work which you are unsure of how to proceed. ... Read More
