Professional Experience

: Current; Prior to joining Goodwin Procter, Ms. Dowd was an associate at the law firm of Hoffmann Baron in Long Island, New York, where she focused primarily on patent procurement and licensing matters. She was associated with the law firm of Kenyon Kenyon from 2000-2002. In 2002, Ms. Dowd interned with Ms. Susan Riley, the Chief of the Civil Litigation Department in the Eastern District of New York. From 1984 to 2002, Ms. Dowd was an electrooptics engineer and research scientist with various companies and government laboratories including: Brookhaven National Laboratory, National Synchrotron Light Source facility; Perkin-Elmer Corp., Large Optics facility (now Hughes Danbury Optical); Riverside Research Institute in NYC; and Eaton, AIL.
