Austin D. Murray joined the firm in 2017 and concentrates his practice in the areas of commercial litigation, community association law and construction law. In the construction sector, Mr. Murray represents construction professionals such as owners, developers and design professionals on all facets of a construction project. He assists clients with the drafting and negotiation of construction contracts, and litigates construction defect disputes and other related issues. Mr. Murray also represents condominium and homeowners associations in the general representation of their communities, counseling boards of directors and property managers on the day-to-day operation of their association.
Prior to joining the firm as an attorney, Mr. Murray worked at the firm as a law clerk, assisting partners with the drafting of pleadings and motions, conducting legal research and preparing for trial.
During law school, Mr. Murray was a member of the Florida International University Law Review. He was awarded the coveted CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Contracts, Civil Procedure, Sales, Construction Law, Secured Transactions and Business Organizations by the University. He also participated in the FIU Law Intramural Moot Court Competition in the Fall of 2016, arguing before the Florida Supreme Court and receiving the award for best oral advocate in the competition’s final round.
