Lead trial counsel in jury and bench trials for prominent companies including AT&T; Bell Labs; Lucent; Ford; General Electric; Philip Morris; NV Philips; NYNEX; Varian; Messerschmitt; Schlumberger; Becton-Dickinson; Arrow International; Essilor; Cyrix; Georgia-Pacific and Graham Engineering.Cases in the 1990s include successfully defending AT&T in a $2.5 billion case on its ESS#5 electronic telephone switch; defending Ford in the Lemelson cases and a case on electronic engine controls; defending Symbol and Cognex in a Lemelson case tried in Las Vegas; defending Varian in a case involving nuclear magnetic resonance patents; beating Intel for Cyrix in four microprocessor cases; winning a plaintiff's jury trial for Georgia-Pacific on EIFS wallboards; and also winning a plaintiff's jury trial for Arrow International against Baxter on a catheter patent.  Won a series of plaintiff's cases for AT&T asserting its semiconductor patents against various infringers.
