David Henson joined Henson Fuerst in 1998. He received his bachelor’s degree with academic distinction from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1995. He then received his Juris Doctor from University of North Carolina School of Law in 1998.

Prior to becoming a lawyer, David worked as a certified emergency medical technician. Thomas is the Past Chair of the board of directors of the Brain Injury Association of North Carolina (BIANC), advocating for brain injury victims and their families across North Carolina, and currently serves on its board. I have been practicing law since 1995. I have handled Personal Injury cases, Medical Malpractice cases and Workers Compensation cases. I have argued cases before the North Carolina Court of Appeals and The North Carolina Supreme Court. Over the last several years, I have specialized in handling Social Security Disability cases. I have appealed these cases to Federal District Court and defended one these appeals before the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. I have taught continuing legal education classes to other attorneys across the country on Social Security Disability.
