Laura grew up in Clarksville, Texas, and steadfastly claims all roads lead to Clarksville. She is a third generation trial lawyer -- she grew up watching her grandfather and father take cases to trial throughout East Texas.
Laura graduated from Baylor University with a degree in biology, then obtained her law degree from Baylor Law School in 1992. She spent seven years defending medical negligence and business litigation cases with another Waco law firm before joining our trial firm at the beginning of 2000. She became a partner in the firm at the beginning of 2005 and has handled medical malpractice and business litigation cases since then.
In recent years, Laura has made birth injury cases a focus of her practice. As the mother of two young children, she loves representing children and serving as an advocate for those who have sustained birth injuries.
Laura is a pilot, sky diver and scuba diver. Her husband Mark is a Continental Airlines pilot, and shares her love for flying and the water, but prefers not to jump out of airplanes. They both enjoy running, water skiing and snow skiing. They have a daughter, Taylor, and a son, Tanner.
