My practice concentrates on Social Security disability and SSI claims at all administrative levels. I have conducted hundreds of Social Security disability hearings, and I am familiar with the administrative law judges who decide the claims in Maine and New Hampshire.

Seacoast Law & Title Founder and Senior Counsel, Mary-Anne Martell is a native Mainer whose varied life and professional experience brings an unparalleled level of understanding and service to her clients.

During the 1970s, she worked as a welder, building turbine steam nuclear re-heaters for General Electric in South Portland and was very active in the union. Later, she spent eight years at Burnham & Morrill in Portland. Among other tasks, Mary-Anne spent her first year there "putting the pork" in the cans of beans. It was during her tenure at the bean factory that she found herself the sole provider of three small children pushing her into pursuing further education.

Mary-Anne graduated summa cum laude from the University of Southern Maine with a Bachelor's Degree and earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Maine School of Law.

While pursing her education and raising children, Mary-Anne ran a local catering business, worked for Tom Andrews' congressional office, and was selected as a Maine Policy Scholar under the mentorship of the Honorable Frank M. Coffin of the First Circuit Court of Appeals.

Mary-Anne is admitted to the Maine State Bar, the United States District Court, and the United States Court of Appeals. She is a member of the Maine State Bar Association and the Cumberland County Bar Association. She is a rostered guardian ad litem for the Maine Court System in her advocacy work for the children of Maine. She previously sat on the Family Law Advisory Commission and formerly served as former Governor John Baldacci's appointee to the Maine State Harness Racing Commission.

After receiving her B.A. from College of the Atlantic and her M.E.S. from Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies, Sarah McDaniel worked in the land conservation and planning department at The Trustees of Reservations, a state-wide land trust in Massachusetts, for three years before graduating Harvard Law School in 2003. Sarah founded Maine Land Law in 2009 after developing a law practice focusing on all aspects of real property law, with a particular emphasis on conservation transactions, civil litigation, and land use permitting. Sarah represents landowners in disputes involving property boundaries, title insurance, right-of-ways, recreational and conservation easement issues, zoning and real estate conveyance.

Attorney Peter J. Cyr graduated from Piscataquis Community High School in 1989. Following High School, he attended Providence College where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Social Science in 1993.
In 1994, attorney Cyr spent a year in Austin Texas as a VISTA Volunteer (Volunteers in Service to America)working with kids to help them stay in school.
Attorney Cyr stayed in Texas and worked as a carpenter building houses West of Austin.
In 1997, Peter commenced his first year at the University of Maine School of Law. He graduated Cum Laude and received the alumni association award for excellence in writing and communication skills.
Following his graduation, he was admitted to practice in Maine and Massachusetts.
He currently runs his own practice focusing mainly on criminal, family, and civil litigation.

Expertise in commercial litigation

Adam Wilson is a mediator and ombudsman for commercial, business, and organizational disputes in New England and the Northeast. Based in Portland, Maine, he has mediated over 175 disputes involving businesses since 2009.

He spent a decade at leading law firms in Washington, D.C. and San Francisco, where he prepared litigation for mediation, arbitration, and trial (antitrust, intellectual property, environmental, and commercial litigation).

During a federal appellate clerkship, he advised a federal judge in all areas of appellate litigation (including employment / workplace, business torts, contracts, civil rights / constitutional law, and securities appeals).

Mr. McKee's criminal defense practice ranges from traffic offenses to murder. He has been involved in countless high-profile criminal cases in Maine over the past 18 years and is a veteran of over 150 fully contested civil and criminal jury trials. Mr. McKee's practice is statewide and also includes representation of criminal defendants in federal criminal matters in Maine's federal district courts as well as the First Circuit Court of Appeals in Boston. As one Federal judge put it, Mr. McKee's defense of the accused is nothing less than "outstanding" and rises "above and beyond the call of duty."

In addition to his work with clients, Mr. McKee served as president of the Maine Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (MACDL) from 2006-2008 and continues to work as chair of MACDLâs Legislative Committee. In this capacity he testifies regularly before the Maine Legislature on criminal legislation, and his advocacy in this arena has been called "polished" and the work of someone who "doesn't break." For his work on behalf of MACDL Mr. McKee received MACDL's highest award, the President's Award, in 2011.

Mr. McKee is recognized around the state as one of Maine's premier attorneys. He has been selected as a New England Super Lawyer in 2009, 2010 and 2011. He is also listed in Best Lawyers in America. He is AV rated in Martindale-Hubbell.

Mr. McKee also chairs the state's Commission on Governmental Ethics and Election Practices. At his confirmation hearing he was described as someone who was one of the state's most talented and skilled attorneys" who was "respected by judges and his colleagues" for being someone "absolutely by the book" and a "straight shooter." In 2007 Mr. McKee was asked to serve on the selection committee for the first Federal Defender in Maine. In 2009 he was tapped to serve on a similar committee to make recommendations to Congress and the President for the appointment of the United States Attorney for Maine.

Mr. McKee lives in Hallowell with his wife, Kristin Aiello, and their children. Kristin is a staff attorney at the non-profit Disability Rights Center where she is actively engaged in the representation of persons discriminated against because of their disabilities. Kristin formerly served as a Commissioner on the Maine Human Rights Commission. Mr. McKee is an avid runner, hunter, alpine and nordic skier, mountaineer and classical violinist; is a licensed private pilot; and served for eight years as a JAG officer with the Maine Army National Guard. For 15 years he also co-hosted the weekly local cable television show "It's the Law!". The show reached over 1,000,000 people throughout Maine.

Mr. McKee is also active in community affairs, most recently serving as the middle / distance event coach for the Hall-Dale Middle and High School track teams. He also served for many years as a soccer coach with the Hall-Dale Youth Soccer program and as the president of the Pineland Suzuki School (PSS). PSS is a non-profit local music school that his children attend that teaches violin and cello using the world-renowned Suzuki method.

Dan Benier has been practicing since 1993. He concentrates his practice on business law, wills, trusts, estates and real estate law.

Tori focuses her practice primarily in family law. She has represented clients in a variety of complex family matters including, but not limited to, divorces, parental rights, adoptions and child support. She is an experienced litigator who will handle your sensitive family matter with care and expertise. She is also rostered by the Maine Courts as a Guardian Ad Litem. Tori is admitted to both the Maine State Bar and the United States District Court, District of Maine. She is a member of the Maine Guardian Ad Litem Institute.

Tori is a 2005 cum laude graduate of the University of Maine School of Law. While in law school, she served as a member of the Moot Court Team and was both a member and co-chair of the Women's Law Association. Additionally, she served as a student attorney for both the Cumberland Legal Aid Clinic and the Cumberland County District Attorney's Office.

Tori spends her free time enjoying the variety of outdoor activities that Maine has to offer, from hiking the mountains, to lounging on the beaches, to exploring the farms and orchards. She is an avid supporter of local agriculture and business. Tori currently resides in Westbrook with her husband, son, and twin daughters.
