Most lawyers are incredibly greedy. There are many who lose their licenses to practice law every month because theyâve cheated and stolen from their clients. They have no moral values or pride in their work. Each client is a new victim of their insatiable drive to become wealthy. They are never trusted by the Court, other lawyers or even by their own clients.

A clientâs trust is achieved by telling the truth, being honest and building a reputation for hard work and successful results. My clients trust me because Iâve been treating clients properly and fairly for forty years. Even if it demands that I tell them the bad news on their case. I often do charity work for clients who cannot pay me a fee. I believe that a lawyerâs time and knowledge are his stock and trade. They have nothing else to sell. A humble, polite, hard working attorney is an attorney that you can trust. I never talk down to my clients. They can understand the law if it is clearly explained to them.

I make my clients my helpers in winning their cases. If they understand the problems and the options they can see the correct path to success.

I wanted to work in my community of Ventura County and also serve the public interest and so in 1998, I joined the Ventura County District Attorney's office as a Deputy District Attorney, prosecuting a range of cases in which I gained valuable and substantial courtroom experience, including prosecuting a multitude of jury trials. As a Deputy District Attorney, I was called to prepare witness testimony and other evidence through which I sharpened my communication and advocacy abilities that have continued to serve me well even as I transitioned to civil practice in late 1999. From that time I have practiced in Simi Valley continually.

In late 1999, I joined the Law Offices of William J. Waters in Simi Valley. There, I worked independently on a range of civil cases including business litigation, real property, neighbor disputes, family law, bankruptcy, medical malpractice, and estate planning. Alan M. Insul is an AV rated attorney limiting practice to corporate, business and real estate. Mr. Insul Graduated UCLA in 1973 with a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology, and he received his J.D. degree in 1978 from Southwestern University School of Law. Mr. Insul was admitted in 1978 to both the California and Federal Court (Central District). While in law school Mr. Insul was the first runner-up in the intramural Moot Court Competition and a member of the Moot Court Honors Program (Roger Traynor Competition). In addition, he served as an intern summer clerk to the Honorable Lynn Compton, Presiding Justice, District Two, Division Two of California Court of Appeals. These cases are cited in both California and nationally recognized treatises on the law (e.g. Miller and Star, Witkin and Corbin on Contracts). The Foothill Village Homeowners Assn case was selected by the Real Property section of the California State Bar as one of the ten most significant real property cases for 1999. In the late 1980's Mr. Insul became CEO to a California based telecommunications company with multiple offices. He has also acted as CEO to an international data network company in the mid-90's.
