Mark was born and raised in Casper, and grew up with strong ties to Cheyenne, spending much time here visiting his grandparents. He grew up hunting and fishing Wyoming and is passionate about elk hunting in Wyoming to this day. He graduated from Natrona County High School in 1996, and then from the University of Wyoming at Casper College with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice in 2001.
