McGee Law Office was founded in the 1920's in Smithland by William F. McGee Jr.'s grandfather, Raymond Dycus. Following in the footsteps of Raymond Dycus, William F. McGee Sr. completed law school at the University of Kentucky after he finished a tour in Vietnam, where he was awarded the Purple Heart for an injury sustained in combat. Continuing the family tradition started by his grandfather and father nearly a century ago, Mr. McGee Jr. graduated from law school at the University of Kentucky in 1993.
