Sarah Schielke was born and raised in Rochester, New York. She attended Middlebury College in Middlebury, Vermont where she received a bachelor of arts (B.A.) in Psychology and graduated magna cum laude.

Sarah then went on to law school at the Boston University School of Law on a full academic merit scholarship. There, Sarah was the Managing Editor of the Boston University Law Review.
