Originally from San Francisco, Ms. Wooley graduated with honors in the major from the University of California, at Santa Cruz, in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Legal Studies. Ms. Wooley received her Juris Doctorate from University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 2007. While attending Hastings, Ms. Wooley served as a judicial extern in the Unified Family Court with Commissioner Marjorie A. Slabach.
