Alyssa was born and raised in Idaho. She graduated in 2015 from Boise State University with a degree in Secondary Education with an emphasis in English. She then obtained her master's degree in Curriculum, Instruction, and Innovation from Northwest Nazarene University. Alyssa retired from the Idaho Army National Guard as a First Lieutenant in the Medical Services branch after serving for five years.
