Attorney Michael G. Floyd, born on October 17, 1955, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is the youngest of eleven children. During his time at Roxborough High School, he was actively involved as the President of the Black Student Union and a member of the chess club. His athletic excellence in football and track earned him a scholarship to Le Moyne-Owen College in Memphis. He later transferred to Tennessee State University, where he became deeply engaged in civil rights activism, notably participating in demonstrations and the landmark case Garner v.
