I was born in Washington, D.C., and spent the first 10 years of my life on the east coast before moving to Texas in 1990. We settled in League City, Texas, where I went to elementary through high school before attending the University of Texas at Austin. In 2002, I finished my undergraduate education at Baylor University, where I obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with a concentration in Public Relations.
