My grandfather’s great grandfather came to Milwaukee in 1867, the same year Jacob Leinenkugel and John Miller started a brewery in Chippewa Falls. However, instead of being skilled at brewing beer, Grandpa Heinen had a passion for woodworking. He started a cabinet shop out of his home and ran his small business off Market Street for over 15 years.
