Ian was raised in Naperville from birth until graduation from Naperville North High School in 2001. He received a full academic scholarship from the University of Florida, where he graduated in 2004 with a B.A. in History, summa cum laude. He earned his J.D., magna cum laude from Georgetown University in 2007. He is a member of the Order of the Coif, having graduated in the top 4% of his class at Georgetown.
