My background combines experience both as a prosecutor and criminal defense attorney, as well as experience as an academic, concentrating on appellate practice and civil and criminal procedure. After graduating from the University of Michigan Law School, I served a clerkship to a federal judge; thereafter, I was a prosecutor in the Manhattan District Attorney’s office for 5 years.
