Attorney Hannah C. Blackwell established Blackwell Law, LLC in 2023 in an effort to better serve the immigrant communities to which she has dedicated her career. Hannah has had a passion for immigration law ever since she witnessed an ICE raid of a work place in her hometown when she was a teenager. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, Haruka (Hannah) worked as a staff attorney at the Maine Community Law Center (MCLC). MCLC was a non-profit law firm dedicated to increasing access to justice by providing low cost legal services to Mainers of modest means. The lawyers at MCLC practiced law in a variety of fields. Hannah provided legal services focusing on the areas of simple estate matters and family law including divorce, parental rights and responsibilities, and protection from abuse and harassment.
