After completing Bachelors of Arts in Political Science at the University of Texas Arlington, I joined the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) while completing a Masters of Arts degree in Political Science with a concentration in Public Administration. I obtained Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Texas at Austin in 1984. I have been a member of the State Bar of Texas since 1985.
