Mrs. Chauncey grew up in Live Oak, Florida and graduated from Suwannee High School. She attended Florida State University and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Mrs. Chauncey continued her education at Florida Coastal School of Law where she earned her law degree and was a member of the Moot Court Honor Board.

Engel began his career as a prosecutor in 2001 by serving as an Assistant District Attorney in Middlesex County, Massachusetts. In 2002, he moved to Ohio and took a position as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney working for Judge Rachel Hutzel in Warren County, Ohio. Theresa Lorella became an attorney to help people find their voices in difficult and emotional circumstances.
